Gift Aid

If you are a UK tax payer, your donation can be worth even more with Gift Aid at no extra cost to you. The scheme works like this, for every £1 you donate to LIC we can claim tax relief of 25 pence from the Government. We can do this for all donations given to us from 6th April 2000 onwards.

Now all donations from UK taxpayers - large or small, regular or one-off, whatever the method of payment will qualify for tax relief.

If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your self-assessment tax return.

You can cancel this declaration at any time by notifying the charity.

For your donation to qualify for tax relief, the amount of income tax you pay must at least equal to the tax LIC will receive from your donation.

Remember to notify us if you no longer pay an amount of income tax or capital gains tax equal to the tax we reclaim on your donations (currently) 25 pence for every £1 you give.

If you are unsure whether your donations qualifies for Gift Aid Tax Relief contact LIC's accounts department or ask your local tax office for leaflet R113 'Gift Aid'.

Please notify us if you change your name or address.
The links advertised on our website are the only official online donation methods for our fundraising purposes. LIC cannot guarantee or endorse any other fundraising activity even if they use our name or logo.We highly recommend to use these official methods should you wish to donate to LIC, however should donors wish to use alternative methods or people to donate to LIC, they would be contributing at their own risk.

LIC appreciates the genuine intentions and hard work of our members, volunteers, wider community and friends in supporting us.
